Yep, it's a QR code. If you have an iPhone there are Apps like RedLaser http://redlaser.com, and I think Nokia and Android smart phones have something similar built in - or there are even ways to do it online like ZXing http://zxing.org/w/decode.jspx ... however if you know anything about 'Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy' that probably isn't necessary.
I am familiar with the hitchikers guide to the galaxy. I listened to the radio play and saw the movie. Just not familiar with those real life tech stuffs.

I see those things on the bus stops. I assume thy are a type of barcode. What do you read them with?
